Express FC forward Allan Kayiwa and Maroons FC goalkeeper Simon Tamale have been overlooked by Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevich for the preparations of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Serbian tactician summoned a 30-man provisional squad of locally based players for the Eastern region tour.
However, Kayiwa and Tamale have had superb seasons of their own with their respective teams, to deserve summons.
Kayiwa, in his first season with Express has featured 24 times in the Uganda Premier League which is the most of any Red Eagle.

He has netted 12 goals in the league campaign, a tally which is only equaled by SC Villa's Charles Bbaale.
With the last game against Blacks Power FC on May 27, he has an opportunity of bettering it, in the run towards assuming the golden boot.
His goals have contributed to 47% of Express' 34 points in the league, which is the biggest contribution of any player in the league.
On the other hand, Tamale has played 21 league games for Maroons this season, his first in Luzira since leaving Soltilo Bright Stars FC.
He has accumulated a huge 12 clean-sheets which is the most for any goalkeeper this season, while he has only conceded 21 goals.
His seven Man of the Match awards so far, is the most of any player in the Uganda Premier League.
Tamale's stats are superb yet they don't tell the entire tale of his excellent season. He has solely won points and games for Maroons with his saves, and they currently occupy fifth with 40 points.
Kayiwa and Tamale's omissions leave a number of question marks about the criteria the technical team uses in making national teams summons.
