Lupopo's rising star crosses borders as the DR Congo outfit gears up for challenging football season.

DR Congo giants FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo have touched down in Ndola, Zambia, for an intensive pre-season training camp.

The Lupopo squad, led by coach Mohamed Magassouba, has meticulously handpicked a formidable group of 34 players to partake in this crucial training phase.

Among these skilled players is none other than Kenyan international Sydney Lokale, a rising star whose talent and prowess have been showcased on both domestic and international stages.

The 22-year-old former Kariobangi Sharks star is set to play a pivotal role in the team's pursuit of glory in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

With the looming challenge against the winner between South African side Sekhukhune United and Young Buffaloes of Eswatini in the pre-group stage, every member of the Lupopo squad is acutely aware of the task at hand.

The friendly matches against MTN Super League clubs will provide a valuable opportunity for coach Magassouba to fine-tune his tactics and evaluate the team's readiness for the upcoming battles on the continental stage.

"Late Tuesday afternoon, Football Club St Eloi Lupopo arrived in the regional capital of the Copperbelt for their pre-season training camp," the club officially announced, underscoring the significance of this endeavor.

The outcome of these friendly matches will not only shape FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo's confidence but also provide a glimpse into the squad's preparedness for the challenges that await them in the CAF Confederation Cup.
