Nike kit Super Falcons with bright green home jersey
With the 11-time African champions headed for their ninth World Cup, Nike have released the kits with which they will represent Nigeria at the mundial.
The home jersey is built a luminous green colour similar to that worn by the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2002 World Cup, and features the typical Nike collar design in white to represent the country’s major colours.
It also features a unique pattern on the cuffs and socks which Nike says is based on “traditional Nigerian artwork and textiles.”
Nigeria’s second/away kit is a very dark shade of green which is decorated with luminous patterns across its entirety that are made up of “traditional prints” and modern designs that serve as an homage to the team name “Super Falcons”.
Nike unveil jerseys for 12 World Cup teams
Nike also unveiled jerseys for other nations that it will kit at the Women’s World Cup, including hosts New Zealand and Australia, as well as Brazil, England, France, Korea, Netherlands, Canada, Norway, Portugal, China, and defending champions USA.
The Super Falcons will kick off their campaign against Canada on the 21st of July in the second Group B encounter of the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
They will then face co-hosts Australia six days later and round up their group stage games against Ireland on the last day of July
