Super Falcons stars Oshoala and Ajibade return to training
Oshoala is set to return from injury as Ajibade hopes to continue fine form.
Super Falcons of Nigeria stars Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade are back in training for their respective clubs.
Oshoala has been out of action due to an injury she sustained when she honored the invitation for the Super Falcons 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifier against the Lady Elephants of Ivory Coast back in February.
The 27-year-old former Super Falcons captain has been giving updates about her recovery through posts on her official social media accounts.
Oshoala posted two photos on her official Instagram account.
The photos show Oshoala working with a ball, and came with a jovial caption that said, "Omo , CELEBRITIES don Dey plenty pass FANS ooo."
Oshoala's team Barcelona Femeni also gave an update on her progression.
The statement on the official Twitter account of Barcelona Femeni said, "@mariona8co, @AsisatOshoala, and @claudiaapinaa have started working with the group as part of their recovery process."
Super Falcons forward Ajibade also returned to training with Atletico Madrid.
The 22-year-old played a pivotal role as the Super Falcons recorded a 2-2 draw against the 2020 Olympics women's football event Champions Canada in an international friendly played last week.
A picture of Ajibade in training was posted on the official Atletico Madrid Femenino Twitter account.
Oshoala is expected to be included in the Barcelona Femenu squad for their game against Sevilla while Ajibade will also be in action for Atletico Madrid Femenino with both Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino games scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2022.
