Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen kicked off 2025 with a goal for Galatasaray in the Lig.

Nigeria Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, made a remarkable start to 2025 by scoring the opening goal for Galatasaray in their Turkish Süper Lig match against Goztepe.

The Nigerian forward dedicated this goal to billionaire twins Tony and Toby Elumelu, celebrating with a heartfelt message on social media that read, "For the T Boys" as they turned 10.

This gesture fulfilled a promise Osimhen made during his Christmas holiday in Nigeria, where he had promised to dedicate his next goal to the twins.

Tony Elumelu, the famous father of the boys revealed this much in a post on his official account on X, formerly Twitter.

Osimhen has 10 goals in 12 Super Lig matches this season.

“Throwback to last week when @victorosimhen9 promised the T-Men to dedicate his next goal as their 10th birthday gift—and, as always, he delivered in style.”

In the match played on Saturday evening, Osimhen scored from the penalty spot just 10 minutes into the game, giving Galatasaray an early lead.

The penalty was awarded after Kaan Ayhan was fouled in the box. Although Göztepe equalised shortly before halftime through Romulo, Galatasaray regained their advantage in the second half thanks to a goal from Yunus Akgun, sealing a 2-1 victory for the Lions.

With this goal, Osimhen has now scored 10 goals in 12 league matches this season and has a total of 12 goals across all competitions.
