Nigerian striker Victor Boniface’s unusual week of ups and downs continued on Sunday as the Bayer Leverkusen striker was involved in an accident that left his vehicle totally wrecked.
Just hours after leading Bayer Leverkusen to a crucial win over Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, Boniface reported on his Instagram that he had survived a nasty car crash.

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface scored the winner for Bayer Leverkusen in the 72nd minute, despite having missed an early penalty, as the reigning champions beat Frankfurt 2-1.
Leverkusen fell behind after Omar Marmoush converted from the spot for Frankfurt and German midfielder Robert Andrich equalised for the champions before Boniface scored the winner mid-way through the second half.
Boniface’s car crash ordeal
Following his heroics against Frankfurt, Boniface was involved in a crash that saw the Nigerian striker hospitalised to treat his injuries.
