The Nigerian international’s future is set to be resolved in the next few days, with a move to Nice imminent.
Super Eagles star Terem Moffi is set to leave Ligue 1 club Lorient for another side in the French top flight, Nice.
Moffi’s future has been the subject of debate this month, with reports linking him with a move away from Stade du Moustoir.
Nice set to sign Moffi
Premier League sides Southampton and West Ham are reportedly interested in his services, but they are set to miss out on the Nigerian international, with Nice set to swoop in for him.
According to Foot Mercato, Nice have already agreed personal terms with Moffi, and are set to agree to a deal with Lorient.
The Eaglets have already had an initial bid of €15 million rejected, but they are set to increase their offer, which will be in the region of Lorient’s €25m price tag.
Les Merlus are resigned to losing their star striker, but only if they receive an offer that matches their valuation.
Moffi's incredible season
Moffi has been a key player for Lorient this season, leading the scoring chart. The Nigerian international took his Ligue 1 tally to 12 goals after scoring in Lorient’s 3-1 loss to Olympique Marseille on Saturday night.
Only Kylian Mbappe (13) has scored more goals than the Super Eagles star in the French top flight this season.
Moffi joined Lorient from Belgian side Kortjik for €8 million in October 2020, signing a four-year contract. The Super Eagles star still has 18 months left on his contract with the club.
