Super Eagles icon Nwankwo Kanu has scored a first with Enyimba ahead of the new NPFL season with his Family Stadium in Aba.

In a move set to make game days more enjoyable and revolutionise the matchday experience for NPFL fans in Aba, Enyimba Football Club led by Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu has unveiled an exciting new addition to their stadium - a dedicated Family Stand.

This innovative development marks a significant step forward in the club's efforts to cultivate a new generation of supporters and create a more inclusive atmosphere at their home games.

The idea to create a safe place for families to bond during football matches was made by Super Eagles legend and club chairman, Kanu just days after replacing Finidi George with 32-year-old Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju.

“As a father, I believe it’s essential to create a safe space where families can bond over their love of football,” the administrator who once faced a backlash said in a statement.

Kanu Nwankwo believes Enyimba are on the right path.

The new Family Stand is designed to be more than just a seating area; it's envisioned as a safe, welcoming space where parents can introduce their children to the thrill of live football without concerns about rowdy crowds or inappropriate behaviour.

"This family stand is a significant step towards making Enyimba a hub for family entertainment and socialisation," the former Super Eagles star added.

The initiative reflects a commitment from the People’s Elephant to foster unity and togetherness among its fanbase, while also focusing on the future of the club by engaging younger supporters.

The Family Stand offers a unique opportunity for parents to share their passion for Enyimba with their children in a comfortable environment.

It's equipped with facilities that cater to families' needs, ensuring that even the youngest fans can enjoy the excitement of a live match.

Enyimba's initiative could set a new standard for Nigerian football, potentially inspiring other clubs to follow suit.

For football-loving families in Aba and beyond, the new Family Stand at the Aba Township Stadium promises to be a game-changer, offering a fresh way to experience the beautiful game together.
