The forward, who has scored 13 goals in 18 appearances this season for Bordeaux, says it's all hard work.
Forgotten Super Eagles forward Josh Maja is in the form of his life at the moment in France.
Maja has risen to the top of the goals chart in the French second division following another goalscoring outing for Bordeaux.
The 24-year-old helped his promotion-chasing side to a vaulable point on the road on Tuesday.
He netted a brilliant first-half brace, even as hosts Caen came from behind to deny Bordeaux two points following a 2-2 draw.
Maja is now top scorer
Maja's goals came in the fourth and 25th minute to give Bordeaux what looked like a comfortable 2-0 lead.
However, Caen pulled one back seven minutes after the break before ensuring the spoils were shared with a late equaliser in the 85th minute.
While Boredeux were denied a win, for Maja, his strikes were his third and fourth in the last three matches and took his tally to 10 goals in 18 matches in the Ligue 2.
The Nigerian striker becomes the top scorer this season in the Ligue 2, having netted two goals more than closest challengers Georges Mikautadze and Ibrahim Sissoko, who both have scored eight goals for their respective sides.
Maja promises to keep working hard
After his latest performance, the former Sunderland star expressed happiness with his form and promised to keep working hard.
"Yes, it's my fourth goal in the last three games," Maja stated. "My fitness? It's just work. Hard work always pays. I continued to work with my teammates, and I hope that I will continue like that."
Girondins de Bordeaux, who are looking for a quick return to Ligue 1 following their demotion last season, are second in League 2 with 32 points after 18 matches.
