From the first whistle, the intensity was palpable. Both teams exchanged early chances, with Remo Stars coming close through Franck Mawuena, whose header from a well-placed cross nearly found the back of the net.

However, it was Rangers who struck first. Isaac Saviour opened the scoring with a deft finish in the 30th minute, sending the home crowd at the Cathedral into a frenzy.

As the match progressed, Rangers showed their defensive brilliance while capitalising on their opportunities before Kingsley Maduforo doubled their lead with a powerful shot that left Remo's goalkeeper with no chance.

The rest of the second half saw Remo Stars push for a comeback. Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, they struggled to break through Rangers' resilient defence.

Hadi Haruna finally found a glimmer of hope for Remo with a late goal, but it proved too little, too late.

The match ended with Rangers celebrating a vital win that not only boosted their confidence but also marked their third consecutive unbeaten match in the league.

Meanwhile, Remo Stars were left to ponder how their six-match winning streak had come to an abrupt halt.

For Ilechukwu and Ogunmodede, this match was more than just three points; it was a testament to their friendship and professional rivalry.
