"CHAMPIONS OF GREECE," beamed the AFCON 2023 Best Player award winner on Instagram, joining Boniface and Tella in the elite group of Nigerian league winners across Europe this season.

While Troost-Ekong didn't feature in the decisive clash, his influence over the campaign has been undeniable as PAOK reclaimed the Greek crown.

The 30-year-old becomes the latest Nigerian star to taste championship glory, following in the footsteps of the history-making Invincibles Super Eagles mates.

Boniface and Tella etched their names into German football history books as part of the first side to ever complete an unbeaten Bundesliga season.

And Troost-Ekong will no doubt be eager to link up with his fellow Nigerian champions when national team duties resume ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.

With a core of serial winners now establishing themselves across Europe's top leagues, the future looks bright for Nigeria's quest to add more international silverware.
