FUFA has replaced Arua Hill with Soltilo Bright Stars in the FUFA Super 8 tournament.

FUFA has dumped Arua Hill out of the Super Eight tournament after failing to comply with the club licensing requirements in time.

The federation directed the Uganda Premier League to exclude the Kongolo together with Busoga United from the league fixtures and gave them a seven-day window to appeal.

FUFA has now moved to live their threat by eliminating the team from the preseason tournament and replacing them with Bright Stars.

“Soltilo Bright Stars has replaced Arua Hill SC due to Club Licensing (Article 3.3 FUFA Super 8 regulations),” the federation stated.

Soltilo Bright Stars finished ninth in the league last season with 35 points, one below Wakiso Giants, while Arua finished fourth with 44 points.

In other developments, the federation has confirmed that Wakiso Giants will host KCCA on Friday, 11th August, at the MTN Omondi Stadium and not their own Kabaka Kyabaggu.
