The transfer saga regarding Victor Osimhen is far from over as his agent has come out to debunk reports of a potential loan move to Chelsea.

Osimhen's future at Napoli remains the topic of hot debate as conflicting reports continue to swirl around the Super Eagles striker.

On Tuesday morning, the Athletic reported that the 25-year-old could join Chelsea on a season-long loan with a buy option, a move that would suit both clubs, allowing Romelu Lukaku to reunite with Antonio Conte.

Osimhen has been left out of Napoli's pre-season games with an exit the likely outcome. However, clubs have scuffed at the reported release clause of 120 million euros.

The report of a loan move seemed a sensible solution but the player's agent Roberto Calenda has come out to categorically deny that option.

“I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victo as if he was a package to be delivered quickly, " Calenda said;

"This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!”.

It remains to be seen whether a move to Chelsea will materialise this summer, but with the Blues desperate to offload Lukaku, some kind of compromise could be reached.

Osimhen scored 17 goals in all competitions for Napoli last season, despite struggling wth injuries and the Nigerian will surely be an upgrade for most teams in Europe.
