LaLiga this weekend is loaded with ridiculously exciting matches with Nigeria International Samuel Chukwueze a prominent feature.
The Spanish LaLiga will keep some of their toes and others on their seats this weekend too with some delicious and top-level matches.
Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze will play a key role in one of the games of the round as his Villarreal side hosts Real Betis in a big clash for European spots.
Elsewhere, LaLiga leaders FC Barcelona will have their hands full in Bilbao where they face former boss, Ernesto Valverde and his Athletic Club side in the game of the week.
Defending champions Real Madrid are also in action against Espanyol while city rivals Atletico travel to face Girona.
Now, walk with me as I take you through some of the interesting statistics heading into week 25 in LaLiga.
- 5 G/A for Samuel Chukweze in last 3 LaLiga matches
Nigeria’s Chukwueze is a man in superb form following some inspirational displays for his club, Villarreal across all competitions.
Chukwueze, who has featured in the Pulse Sports team of the week back-to-back, has scored or assisted six (6) goals in his last four (4) matches across all competitions, five of which have been in his last three LaLiga matches.
The 23-year-old will be looking to add to that tally when Real Betis come calling at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday.
These two teams, Villarreal and Betis, are in a direct battle for a place in Europe next season and this game could go a long way to determine who eventually gets the spot.
- 9 matches unbeaten at home for Cadiz
The first game of week 25 in LaLiga will see Cadiz host Getafe at the Nuevo Mirandilla on Friday night.
Both sides are languishing close to the danger zone and are separated by just one point heading into this particular fixture.
However, it seems Cadiz might take this one given their run of nine unbeaten matches at home. But the home side last defeated their visitors back on April 10, 2021, which should give Getafe some hope.
- 25 unbeaten matches at home for Real Madrid
Santiago Bernabeu will host defending champions Real Madrid and RCD Espanyol on Saturday.
This is another fixture that has a long unbeaten record for the home side in LaLiga, with Los Blancos unbeaten in 25 against Espanyol.
Real Madrid have failed to win any of their last two matches across all competitions while Espanyol lost to Real Valladolid the last time.
But for this game, while both sides want to bounce back to winning ways, it seems there is only one outcome on Saturday.
Espanyol will do well to keep the scoreline low, they have conceded seven in the last two meetings, and four of them were conceded in their last visit to the Bernabeu.
