"It's the fixture we wanted; it's a fixture the fans asked for because reaching this stage presented us a chance to take on a team like them."

As soon as Admin FC eliminated Busia Young FC to sail through to the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64, their dream was to take on joint-record winners KCCA FC.

Attacker Baron Kironde, who also scored the lone goal for Admin to leap to this stage, has underlined the club's faithful prayed and wished, with fortune delivering their 'beloved' KCCA.

The two sides meet in the Round of 16 at the Mbale Municipal Stadium, and Kironde insists his team is braced for the contest.

"We have prepared extremely well because we are fully aware it won't be an easy game," Kironde told Pulse Sports Uganda.

"It's the fixture we hoped for, and after progressing to this stage, we had one thought: KCCA, and the draws delivered just that."

"It's the fixture we wanted; it's a fixture the fans asked for because reaching this stage presented us a chance to take on a team like them."

Kironde further highlighted how the affair presents an opportunity for the Admin players to face some of the players that have inspired them over the years.

"We're going to face players that we have looked up to: the likes of Julius Poloto and Muhammad Shaban. These are players that we look up to, and it's nice to share the same pitch," he disclosed.

"It would also be nice to see Haruna Lukwago and Usama Arafat back this side because they are players we've played with at various development stages."

Kironde reiterated what the encounter means to the entire Mbale fanbase and the players.

"It will be an eventful day for both the fans and the players because this is what everyone prayed for," he noted.

To reach this stage, Admin played three preliminary rounds, with the last one seeing them eject Busia Young.

"All the fans wanted was KCCA. We did that, but we will work hard to eliminate them and bring another big team here."

"But, let's first deal with this game. We want to go as far as we can in this tournament," Kironde said.

It will be a one-legged encounter, and penalties will intervene if it ends all-square after 90 minutes.
