The KCCA faithful would demand that the team puts their biggest focus on the Cup as it presents their most realistic chance for their first competitive silverware since the 2018/19 campaign.

After their struggles in the Uganda Premier League look to have thrown them off the championship-chasing pack, KCCA FC are expected to be all-guns out in the Uganda Cup to salvage some glory in the season.

The Cup would make it their eleventh in history and the most of any team, as they are currently tied with Express FC on ten.

The KCCA faithful would demand that the team puts their biggest focus on the Cup as it presents their most realistic chance for their first competitive silverware since the 2018/19 campaign.

However, head coach Abdallah Mubiru has downplayed the talks, "as the technical (team), we decided to manage game by game."

"Our target is to always put up the best performance and get the best results out of particular games."

"So, we feel we're not strong enough to look at the final result. We're looking at game by game, and that's how we are going to manage ourselves and our players."

Meanwhile, KCCA take on FUFA Big League side Jinja North United in the Uganda Cup Round of 32.

"Right now, all our focus is geared towards the game against Jinja North and getting the best result," Mubiru added.

"We are ready and prepared, very tricky one because in the Uganda Cup, there is no easy game. The most important element is qualification to the next round."

KCCA comfortably dispatched Admin FC 2-0 in the preceding round to set up this bout on enemy territory.
