Shabana faces Nairobi City Stars in the FKF Premier League, aiming to build on their recent victory, with fans anticipating an exciting clash.

Newbies Shabana FC are on a mission to secure their second consecutive win in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League as they prepare to face off against Nairobi City Stars at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabya this Sunday.

The stage was set for Shabana's resurgence when they ended a five-game winless streak in the top-flight league by triumphing over Tusker with a score of 1-0 on Friday, September 6th.

The victory, credited to Vincent Nyabuto's well-timed header off a Rogers Aloro free-kick, marked Shabana's first taste of success in the current season after a grueling initial five rounds.

In stark contrast, Nairobi City Stars suffered a 1-0 loss to Kenya Police FC in their last league encounter on Saturday, September 7th. The Simba wa Nairobi have managed to secure two wins out of the six matches played in this season, and they will be eager to bounce back.

Shabana's head coach, Sammy Okoth, exudes confidence in his team's ability to secure another win.

"The league has just started, and if you check, my boys have been improving. We have addressed the issue of closing stages concentration. If we can ensure our defense is steady and our attack is sharp, then we can continue with a good run," he stated.

With this match being the first meeting between the two sides, fans can expect an electrifying clash at the stadium, as Shabana's fervent supporters turn out in large numbers to rally behind their team.

This Sunday promises more gripping action across the FKF Premier League as other intriguing matchups unfold.

Bidco United will host Murang'a Seals at Kasarani Annex, while Bandari will face AFC Leopards at Mbaraki, with both teams anticipating a fresh start under new coaching staff.

Tusker are set to host Gor Mahia at Kasarani, Kariobangi Sharks will extend a warm welcome to Muhoroni Youth in Nairobi, and Nzoia Sugar FC will host their neighbors Kakamega Homeboyz at their Sudi backyard.
