SS Assad was established in 1972 initially as Simba Football Club.
National Super League side SS Assad has received a donation of one million shillings to aid them in the remaining part of the 2022/2023 campaign.
The donation made by the Kwale-County-based firm was in response to Assad's call for financial assistance amid financial turmoil facing most of the NSL sides.

"We thank the Base Titanium Company for continued support of local talents and requested the company to fully support SS Assad in the next season to ensure effective running of the club and curb the financial constraints witnessed whenever they attend away matches, this will motivate the player to do well and even see promotion to the Kenya Premier league," he said.
