The senior Dele-Bashiru was one of the heroes for his club as they came away with a credible away draw.

Super Eagles hopeful Tom Dele-Bashiru found the net for Watford in their 2-2 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Despite Dele-Bashiru's goal and a strike from Imran Louza, Watford could not secure all three points.

Dele-Bashiru's penalty and Louza's goal appeared to give Watford the advantage, but Sunderland responded with two goals from set pieces to level the match.

Luke O'Nien scored for Sunderland in the 16th minute, and Dennis Cirkin equalised in the 89th minute to force a share of the spoils.

Dele-Bashiru scored his third goal of the season in his 14th Championship match and would have wanted it to be enough to give the Hornets all the points.

Watford dominated much of the game but failed to hold on for the win. The draw extends Watford's winless streak to four matches, placing them 10th on the table.

On the other hand, the draw leaves Sunderland fourth in the table and still with a chance to seal at least a playoff spot come the end of the season.

In a related development, Tom’s younger brother Fisayo has been backed to his improve his performance at Serie A club SS Lazio.

This comes as the Italian giants get ready to compete in the UEFA Europa League knockout stage.

Per a Pulse Sports report, former Lazio player Roberto Rambaudi is under no illusion that fans of the club will see an improved Fisayo for the club.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is on loan at Lazio.

The midfielder played a key role as his club booked a spot in the next phase of the competition by scoring two goals and providing two assists in six games.

Despite his European form, Dele-Bashiru, who has struggled to impress in the Serie A, scoring just two goals in fourteen games, has been backed to turn things around, especially in Europe.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru came through for Lazio against Ajax.

“In the European field, Dele-Bashiru can adapt better,” Rambaudi stated.
