The 30-year-old Kenya international is reported to have handed a transfer request at Simba Sports Club
Tanzanian moneybags Singida Big Stars are set to make an offer for Joash “Berlin Wall” Onyango after a positive response to initial inquiries with the player himself, according to reports.
Onyango has recently been reported to have attracted the interest of the so-called big teams, and Singida wants to make an offer quickly to avoid a bidding war.

STARS ABROAD Joash Onyango hands in ‘transfer request’ at Simba
The Harambee Stars defender is reportedly ‘fed up’ with constant criticism from Wekundu wa Msimbazi supporters
That seems likely, though, as interests from Tanzanian Premier League clubs are already in the race for the Kenyan international defender, who is currently on the books of Simba Sports Clubs.
Interests from Ihefu and Namungo are making the war almost a sure thing for the 30-year-old center-back, with various reports indicating that he has even handed a transfer request to Simba.
Onyango still has one year remaining on his contract, and Sindiga is offering him a way out on at least a two-year package with a sign-on fee equivalent to Ksh 7 million.
If Singida could bring him in, Onyango would make a substantial addition as a right-footed player who could form a good partnership with many of the club’s existing defenders.
Onyango joined in August 2020 from record Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions Gor Mahia on a two-year deal.

FOOTBALL Simba fans turn on Joash Onyango after CAF Champions League elimination
The supporters have made it a habit of blaming the Kenyan international whenever Wekundu wa Msimbazi lose and were on his case yet again after Friday’s defeat
His contract was renewed in June 2022 for two more seasons, with negotiations having taken months with the player having earlier been linked with a move to South African giants Orlando Pirates.
Onyango was a major cog in the Simba team that made it to the quarterfinals of the 2020/2021 and 2022/2023 African Champions League, where they were eliminated by South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca, respectively.
