Ouma has been on song for IF Elfsborg in the Europa League this season, which has attracted the interest of several clubs in England, includig Manchester United, Spurs and even Brentford.

Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma is continuing to catch the attention of some of football’s biggest names despite recently signing a new contract with Swedish side IF Elfsborg.

English Championship side Sheffield United has joined the growing list of clubs interested in the Kenyan youngster, eyeing a potential move this January.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer fo Elfsborg this season, notching three goals and two assists across all competitions.

His displays in the UEFA Europa League against teams like AZ Alkmar and Roma  have particularly captivated scouts, with Sheffield United reportedly leading the charge to secure his signature during the winter transfer window.

British journalist Alan Nixon recently disclosed on Patreon that the Blades are eager to make a bid for Ouma once the Swedish season concludes, making them the latest to be drawn by his potential.

Ouma’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed beyond England, either. Reports out of Sweden suggest that Premier League sides Manchester United, Tottenham- who he will be facing later this season - and Brentford, along with Championship outfit Luton Town, are closely monitoring the midfielder’s progress.

Meanwhile, Serie A clubs have also shown interest, indicating a widespread appeal across European leagues.

Elfsborg, who signed Ouma in July 2022, appear willing to consider offers for the Kenyan, with the club setting his price at approximately 7 million kroner (around Ksh81.8 million).

Ouma’s journey with Elfsborg began with a period of adjustment, during which he was primarily deployed in the U23 team. However, his persistence and improvement have since seen him graduate to the first team, where he’s now an essential player.

With Sheffield United pushing for promotion and competing at the top of the Championship table, Ouma’s arrival could be timely.

His energy, creativity, and adaptability could bolster the squad’s depth, potentially aiding their Premier League aspirations. As the January transfer window approaches, the demand for this Kenyan sensation is only expected to intensify.
