The Kenyan midfielder has shared his plans after opting against extending his stay with Tusker in favour of a move to Kagera Sugar, who are fighting for their lives in the Tanzanian league.
Kenyan midfielder Shaphan Siwa is keen to maintain his great form at his new club, having ditched Tusker FC for Tanzanian side Kagera Sugar.
Siwa has joined Kagera Sugar after the expiry of his contract with Tusker, bringing an end to a four-year spell with the Kenyan giants, and begins a new chapter in Tanzania, where he previously turned out for Biashara United.
The midfielder has left Tusker with his stock high, having had 10 goal involvements this season, being nine assists and one goal, as the brewers push to reclaim the league title they last won in 2022.

Gor Mahia lose Ugandan transfer target to Rwandan giants in dramatic move
Gor Mahia have missed out on a top Ugandan transfer target, with Rwandan giants swooping in to secure his signature.
“Tusker has been like a family to me and it was not easy to leave but I believe it is time to push myself further and embrace a new challenge,” Siwa told Telecomasia.net.
“I’ve enjoyed tremendous success there and I am eager to test myself at a new club with the aim of replicating that success and even surpassing it.”
Siwa has signed a two-year contract with the Tanzanian side and will work under former Wazito coach Melis Medo, who was hired last October to replace ex-Tusker coach Paul Nkata, who was sacked after less than three months in the job.

Rwanda striker Arthur Gitego alleges AFC Leopards blocking his exit amid tense relationship
Gitego, who joined AFC Leopards in February 2024, has been at loggerheads with the club as he angles for a move away.
The 27-year-old’s departure has robbed Tusker of a creative force as he was leading the assists charts in the FKF Premier League and coach Charles Okere will need to either find an able replacement or devise a way in which his side will not miss the departing star to maintain their charge up the table.
Siwa has abandoned a title challenge with Tusker, who are joint top of the FKF Premier League log, for a relegation fight in Tanzania, as Kagera Sugar are second from bottom in the 20-team league with 11 points from 15 matches, meaning the midfielder will need to hit the ground running.
