Shabana FC remains tight-lipped on revenue loss and hooliganism during their match with Gor Mahia, with a formal complaint filed.

Shabana FC is currently keeping details under wraps following tumultuous events that unfolded in their recent fixture against Gor Mahia.

In a match overshadowed by controversies and disruption, the true extent of the incidents at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani on Wednesday remains a matter of speculation and concern.

Shabana Secretary General Elizaphan Kerama has opted for discretion amidst the swirling rumours of substantial revenue losses due to ticketing issues.

"Regarding that match, I can't comment at the moment. If such an incident did occur, you should contact the federation,” Kerama stated in a phone interview with Pulse Sports, deflecting inquiries to higher authorities.

Efforts to shed light on the situation met with vague responses from the club’s administration.

When pressed about an online statement attributed to him, Kerama neither confirmed nor denied its origin, further cloaking the proceedings in mystery.

However, the impact on the fans is less ambiguous. The match was marred by scenes of disorder, with reports emerging of hooliganism that escalated to the point of injuries among the club's loyal supporters.

The onset of half-time saw tensions spill over on the 'Russia' side of the stadium, leading to an exchange of not just verbal jabs but also plastic seats and bottles between fans of the rival teams.

"It was a regrettable situation that spiraled out of control momentarily," explained an unnamed steward, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the issue.

"Our immediate concern was the safety of all present, and we worked swiftly to de-escalate the situation."

The situation was fraught with the potential for further violence, but the quick response of the stewards and the strategic non-intervention by police—who feared the possibility of inciting a stampede—prevented the commotion from escalating into a full-blown riot.

Despite the turmoil, the club has not remained entirely silent on actionable fronts, with reports confirming that Shabana has lodged a formal complaint with the federation.

The nature of the complaint remains undisclosed, but it is believed to address the management of the match and the security issues that arose, potentially including the club’s loss of revenue.

With the federation yet to respond to Shabana's complaint, the football community is left pondering the ramifications of the incidents.

There is an air of expectancy for a resolution that will not only address the current situation but also set a precedent for the handling of similar occurrences in the future.

As the dust settles on the pitch, the echoes of the chaos at Kasarani continue to resonate.

The silence from Shabana's top brass has done little to dispel the growing speculation and concern amongst the fans and the wider football fraternity.

It is hoped that the pending investigation by the federation will shed light on the dark spots of a matchday that should have been remembered for the beautiful game rather than the ugly scenes that ensued.
