Shabana FC enhances security after fan violence during previous match against Muhoroni Youth.

Shabana FC is set to fortify security measures for their upcoming fixture against Ulinzi Stars at the Raila Odinga Stadium.

The decision follows a disturbing incident that left one fan injured during their recent FKF Premier League match against Muhoroni Youth.

Fans, dismayed by the team's 0-1 defeat, resorted to throwing water bottles and other objects onto the pitch, leading to a tense and unsafe environment.

This unfortunate event was a wake-up call for the club's management, who are now taking proactive steps to ensure such incidents do not recur.

"We have talked to all security stakeholders and they have assured us of heightened security to allow our fans to have a memorable experience," stated Shabana FC's secretary-general, Elizaphan Kerama.

He further encouraged fans to come out in large numbers and support the team, assuring them of a secure and enjoyable match experience.

The upcoming match is seen as a crucial opportunity for Shabana to regain their footing in the league.

The team has struggled to find consistent form, and the added pressure from their fan base has only heightened the stakes.

During the previous game, drama escalated when Muhoroni Youth netted the sole goal of the match, with their celebration quickly overshadowed by a barrage of missiles, predominantly water bottles, from the agitated Shabana fans.

The situation further deteriorated at the final whistle, as confrontations erupted between the two factions of supporters. Stones were thrown, leading to chaotic scenes, all under the watchful yet passive gaze of the police forces present.

County enforcement officers had to intervene to disperse the rowdy crowd, who were attempting to damage stadium facilities.

Amidst this melee, an injured fan was promptly transported to Homa Bay Teaching and Referral Hospital for medical attention.

Shabana's current season record stands at four wins, five draws, and nine defeats out of 18 matches, a statistic that highlights their struggle in the league.

This poor performance streak has not only tested the team's resilience but has also placed immense pressure on the club's management and players.
