Shabana's postponed match vs Posta Rangers has since been rescheduled with the club providing an update in regards to the gate charges for those who had already paid for ticketing.

Shabana FC have announced that they will waive gate charges for the rescheduled FKF Premier League (FKF PL) fixture against Posta Rangers, originally set for September 28 but postponed due to security concerns.

The match, which was scheduled to be played at Gusii Stadium, failed to kick off after referees reportedly felt intimidated, leading them to withdraw from officiating.

Reports from the day indicated that the referees expressed concerns over their safety after assessing the security situation at the venue.

Efforts to resolve the issue on the spot proved futile, disappointing the many fans who had already purchased tickets and filled the stadium.

In a move to address the situation and placate their supporters, Shabana has confirmed that fans who paid for the postponed game will not be charged for the rescheduled match.

The club shared this update via tweet through their X account

“In response to the concerns raised, we would like to clarify that our supporters have indeed paid for the match between Shabana FC and Posta Rangers, which has already been rescheduled. As a result, entrance to the match will be waived," read part of the tweet.

However, the club emphasized that this arrangement will only apply to the rescheduled match against Posta Rangers, with other fixtures proceeding under normal ticketing policies.

This decision, according to Shabana, was made to maintain logistical efficiency, in consultation with the team’s supporters.

This gesture is likely to win back the goodwill of the fans who were left disappointed by the last-minute postponement, ensuring strong attendance at the rescheduled game.

The Gusii side rafter the postponement revealed that they had made over Ksh1.5 million from their aborted match against the Mailers.

Shabana who now places 14t on the log standings with two point in three matches played will now aim to put the disrupted fixture behind them as they prepare for the game and hope for smooth proceedings in the rescheduled match.
