Tore Bobe captain leads the team with high morale for a crucial FKF Premier League match against Tusker FC.

Shabana FC captain George Onyango has voiced a strong sense of optimism within the team's camp as they gear up for an anticipated FKF Premier League clash against Tusker FC.

The match is scheduled to take place at Raila Odinga Stadium on Saturday, where Shabana aims to secure their fifth victory of the season and complete a notable double over Tusker in this campaign.

The upcoming encounter is particularly significant for Shabana as they come off a goalless draw against Nairobi City Stars

"Our position in the league is not where we want to be. We are targeting maximum points this Sunday against Tusker, and I call upon our fans to come out in large numbers and support us. Our 12th man is our most important player, and the remaining games in the league are like finals to us," Onyango remarked.

The training sessions leading up to the clash have been marked by a sense of optimism with every player well aware of their individual and collective responsibilities.

"Every player knows what he has to do individually and as a team, the morale is high and every player is ready to fight on Sunday," Onyango added.

This season has been a whirlwind for Shabana, marked by their return to the top-flight after a 17-year hiatus.

Their first leg victory over Tusker FC, a narrow 1-0 win, was a significant milestone, serving as their inaugural win of the season.

However, the journey since has been challenging, with the team finding themselves in a precarious position on the league table.

The recent goalless draw against Nairobi City Stars epitomizes the team's struggles, marking their sixth draw of the season.

With 18 points from 20 matches, Shabana sits 17th in the standings, two points adrift from safety in the relegation zone.
