Lionel Messi could be another big name in Gerard Pique's King's League as Aguero wants him it.

Retired Argentine footballer Sergio Kun Aguero has revealed that he would like to see Messi play in the King's League one day, although he admits that it is complicated.

Aguero and Messi are close friends and have come up the ranks together in Argentina. They were close to playing together in Barcelona when Aguero signed in the summer of 2021, but Messi had to leave the club due to financial reasons.

The striker has since retired from professional football on the advice of his doctors due to his cardiac health, but he now plays in the King's League.

What is the Kings League

The King's League is a seven-a-side competition launched by former Barcelona player Gerard Pique.

The competition differs from regular football as it has some unique quirks aimed at making it more entertaining.

What Aguero said

The former Manchester City man is one of the popular names participating in the competition, which has also included Spanish legends Joan Capdevilla and Iker Casillas.

According to 90 Mins, Ronaldinho, Andrea Pirlo, and Andriy Shevchenko have all played in the King's League, and Aguero would like to have Messi on this elite list.

"We haven't spoken about it. I think it's a little complicated at the moment with the schedule, but I hope one day he can play for us."
