Uganda Premier League record holders (16) SC Villa have reportedly agreed a deal to sign former Express FC and Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.
The goal-minder and the Jogoo have already reached the terms of the contract, according to Kawowo Sports.
Villa are currently lining a more competitive team, and Muwanga will compete for a starting berth with Martin Elungat and Meddie Kibirige.
He has been a free agent having terminated his contract with West Nile outfit, Onduparaka FC in December 2022.
Muwanga, who is a former Goalkeeper of the Season in 2016 and the 2020/21, is a former League winner with Express.
In his most recent expedition at Onduparaka, he played 14 league games last season, while he featured 13 times in the 2021/22 campaign.
Besides Onduparaka and Express, Muwanga has previously been at Sadolin Paints and four-time league champions URA FC.
