After two years with the Saudi Pro League club, major honours have been hard to come by for Ronaldo, who is hoping to change that in 2025.

Ronaldo hoping for Al Nassr Cup success

Ronaldo’s first two years at Al Nassr has ended in many “almost” moments, with the club finishing second in the Saudi Pro League twice, as well as a King’s Cup final loss, and an AFC Champions League quarterfinal exit.

This year, Ronaldo is hoping Al Nassr can buck the trend and finally claim the biggest trophy in Asia, as he did with Real Madrid and Manchester United in Europe.

Speaking on the possibility of lifting major honours this season, Ronaldo said, “The AFC Champions League is something I want to win for the club. I will continue to push and help Al Nassr to win titles. I believe that this year will be a good year for Al Nassr.”

Ronaldo eager to replicate European streak

The Portuguese star only needs to look at himself to find inspiration for this daunting task after his incredible success in the UEFA Champions League.

Ronaldo was instrumental in winning the Champions League with Manchester United in 2008 and then went on to repeat the feat four more times at Real Madrid, including the famed three-peat.

With 140 goals and five titles, Ronaldo is widely regarded as the greatest player in UEFA Champions League history and will be eager to follow up his exploits in Europe with more success in Asia.
