Kitara FC became the second promoted team to lose its manager not long after winning the FUFA Big League.
The team announced on Friday that head coach Sam Ssimbwa was leaving the club after careful decisions and considerations.
Ssimbwa now joins Sadiq Sempigi, who left Mbarara City FC after helping them gain promotion to the Startimes Uganda Premier League, as managers on the move.
“This was a difficult decision, but after careful decisions and considerations, we finally agreed to make a change,” a statement from Kitara President Deo Kasozi read.

Ssimbwa was in charge of 15 games of an exhausting promotion push in the FUFA Big League – which was mentally draining for him.

FBL Kitara seek shs.100M to start work on new stadium
Kitara was crowned Champion of the FUFA Big League and promoted back to the top flight alongside Mbarara City and NEC.
And with Ssimbwa’s departure, Kitara will now embark on a search for a new manager before the start of the new season in the top flight.
The statement added: "Kitara will now seek a new head coach and the announcement is expected to be made before the end of the month of June."
Wasswa Bbosa, John Luyinda and Edward Golola are some of the names that have dominated the talk as possible replacements.
