The Senegal superstar was could not hide his joy after his wife finished school, six months after their highly-publicized wedding.
Sadio Mane, the Al-Nassr and Senegal star, was seen celebrating his teenage wife Aisha Tamba's school graduation.
Aisha graduated with her baccalaureate, the academic qualification obtained at the end of secondary education. The celebration was recorded by her father and showed Mane's joy at her success.
The couple married on January 7 in an Islamic ceremony in Keur Massar, Dakar, just before the Africa Cup of Nations. Their marriage was a private affair, attended by family and close friends. Mane had hoped for a honeymoon post-tournament, but Aisha's family insisted she focus on her studies.
Aisha received her diploma with a passable distinction and is now considering higher education. Mane has been funding her education at the all-girls Cabis school in Mbao. Following their marriage, Aisha returned to school in January, greeted by enthusiastic applause from fellow pupils.
Despite the notable age gap between Mane, 31, and Aisha, 18, her father confirmed their ages and when they first met, addressing public speculation.
