Congolese forward reflects on memorable journey with Batoto ba Mungu and awaits exciting opportunities ahead.

Sofapaka striker Roddy Manga has confirmed that he will not be part of the 2009 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions in the upcoming season.

Manga, a prominent figure in Kenyan football since joining Batoto ba Mungu in 2021, revealed his departure from the side after two seasons with the club.

The 27-year-old Manga's journey through the Kenyan league was studded with standout moments that demonstrated his dedication to the sport and his team.

With the memories of his time at Sofapaka still vivid, he shared in an interview with Pulse Sports; "Embarking on the inaugural season was a true test of my mettle, yet the unyielding support of my teammates and the guidance of our adept technical staff became my compass, swiftly steering me through uncharted waters of adaptation.”

One of the defining highlights of Manga's career in Kenya was his role in securing the 2022 Jamhuri Cup, an emblem of victory that will forever be etched in his collection.

The crescendo of triumph on that fateful day was amplified by Manga's decisive goal, a moment that transcended the scoreboard and became a cherished memory for fans.

The tapestry of Manga's journey also bore witness to his relentless pursuit of excellence.

"Sofapaka's nurturing embrace became my sanctuary in deciphering the intricacies of the Kenyan league, unearthing my latent potential and sculpting it into a resplendent display of prowess on the field," he reminisced.

As Manga bids adieu to Sofapaka, his future remains uncertain yet brimming with potential.

"I am still training on my own and yes my agent is still checking for a club for me," he revealed.

"Yeah, hopefully, there will be something concrete before the transfer  window closes, and I think something will come up as time goes by," he added.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international previously turned for FC Renaissance in Congo, Wadi Degla in Egypt, UD Songo in Mozambique, and OC Safi in Morocco.
