Matchday two in the NWFL saw these two giants go head-to-head, with some outstanding performances from some of the players at the Legacy Pitch.
It was a date between Robo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons at the Legacy Pitch on match day two of the new NWFL season.
Wasteful Queens drop further points
The Queens were looking for their first points of the season after a defeat in their opening game the last time.
For the Amazons, the goal was to consolidate on their win from the previous match day against their hosts.

But in the end, both teams settled for a share of the spoils in what was a keenly contested encounter on Wednesday evening.
The Land Ladies, Robo, should have won after creating the best chances but were left to rue their profligacy.
Pulse Sports Nigeria was there at the Legacy pitch, where three players stood out from the rest.

3 standout performers
Joy Duru, Nasarawa Amazons
Watching her lead from the back, you could see why she's the skipper of the Amazons. Such was Joy Duru's brilliance that the away side left unscathed.
Duru was excellent with her ground and aerial duels and hardly put a foot wrong in a woman of the match performance.

She won four (4) tackles, made three (3) interceptions, won eight (8) aerial duels and made 12 clearances to help her side keep a clean sheet away from home.
Shukurat Oladipo, Robo Queens
The Robo star was by far the best midfielder on the pitch. Her deft touches, sleek passes, balling carrying and dribbling caught the eye throughout the game.
For lovers of the football simulation game, Football Manager, FM, watching Ola, you'd see a youngster with the ability to play as a Mezzala.

As one spectator said about her performance, "her composure was what got me. Elegant and willing to take players on."
He added that "If most Naija female players have that level of control in their game, we will be tougher to beat."
Such was the overall performance from Oladipo, who was however disappointed her team didn't get more out of the game.
Ijamilusi Folashade, Robo Queens
I will be surprised if this Robo number 13 is not the Eden Hazard of the NWFL. Her ability to glide past her marker was the standout feature of her game.

She was a menace all through the game, and while she was successful with most of her take-ons, Folashade showed she's also flash as well. Her pace is ridiculous.
All three players were superb on the day and didn't deserve to lose the game. So, a draw was perhaps the fair outcome in the end.
