Injuries have affected Tusker's program with some players being forced to play out of position.

Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano has lamented his side’s recent injury fortunes.

The Brewers are walking wounded without several key players, including captain Humphrey Mieno, defender Boniface Onyango, and midfielder Rodgers Ouma, who are all sidelined due to injuries.

However, the 58-year-old gaffer has put a plan in order to ensure that they can recover before the league resumes next Wednesday.

“We have been playing league matches consistently, so we have more injuries, but I hope this will be dwelt with soon.

You saw in our last match our goalkeeper Brian Bwire came in as a field player. Injuries have hit us, so we cannot even raise ten players for a training session," said Matano.

Meanwhile, Matano is optimistic that he might have some of his players back before their upcoming league match against Bandari.

“We will get some other players to feature in the FKF Cup. I hope the injured players will be back by the end of next week; thus, we will have a full house," Matano added.

The Brewers most recently came off a confidence-boosting victory against Posta Rangers, and Matano is well aware that they are on course to retaining the league title.

“We are keeping close to the league leaders and I have to appreciate my young players on how they have been performing. They have stood firm and tall thus we are progressing well,” he concluded.

Tusker are currently seated in fourth place on the log with 31 points garnered from 16 matches played this season.
