The Uganda Premier League chief executive officer Bernard Bainamani has revealed that the secretariat gave Vipers an extra shs.46 million for winning the 2021/22 title.

The Startimes Uganda Premier League is set to kick off on September 5th.
However, Bainamani revealed to Pulse Sports that the league board added an extra shs.46 million.
“The Uganda Premier League is pushing hard to see that we get in more sponsors so that we can increase the club’s package,” Bainamani was speaking to this website on the league’s efforts to improve the welfare of the clubs.
“For example, last season, we added an extra shs.46 million to the league champions, but we didn’t advertise it because we feel there’s more that we need to do to better the competition,” he added.
The CEO also confirmed that the prize money will increase from the shs.128 million to about shs.160 million for the just-ended season.
