Premier League clubs are known for their abundant riches. Here are the 10 richest clubs in England in 2024.
It is common knowledge that English football clubs are richer than their counterparts in other parts of the world mostly down to the visibility and the high market value of the Premier League.
But even among the richest, there are levels to their affluence as some English clubs are more valuable than others which leads to the compilation of this updated list.
Here are the top 10 richest clubs in England based on their valuation as per Forbes.

10. Fulham (Valuation) - $790 million

Starting off the list is Fulham in 10th place.
As of 2024, Fulham FC is estimated to be worth $790 million, generating an annual revenue of $221 million.
The Cottages drifted between the second and fourth tiers until being taken over by Mohamed Al-Fayed in 1997.
Fulham went on to win two divisional titles in three seasons to reach the Premier League by 2001. They won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2002 and were beaten in the 2010 final of the UEFA Europa League.
However, after 13 consecutive seasons in the top-flight, they were relegated in 2014. Since that time, the club have moved between the first and second tiers under their new billionaire owner Shahid Khan.
Fulham had changed divisions in five successive seasons between 2017–18 to 2021–22, being relegated after winning the 2018 and 2020 EFL Championship play-off finals.
They then won the 2021–22 EFL Championship title, finally settling in the Premier League, where they have played since 2022.
9. Newcastle United (Valuation) - $795 million
Newcastle United have recently become affluent thanks to the 2021 purchase for a reported £305 million by a consortium including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, RB Sports & Media and PCP Capital Partners although the Saudi Arabians are undoubtedly the faces of the operation.
As of 2024, Newcastle United is one of the richest clubs in the world, currently valued at $795 million, generating an annual revenue of $303 million.
The new ownership has seen their valuation move up to seventh on the list of richest clubs in England and one can only expect that to increase especially with how well they have been doing so far.
The club is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear and play their home games at the iconic St James’ Park Stadium which has a 52,305 capacity and was first opened in 1892.
The Magpies made €212.3 million in revenue last year which was the 20th-highest of any team in the world and the 11th among English clubs.
The £63 million spent to sign Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad last summer is Newcastle’s record-signing so far but that is likely to change soon as Eddie Howe’s team are on course to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since the 2002/03 season.
8. Aston Villa (Valuation) - $800 million
Aston Villa comes in at number 10 on the list of richest clubs in England with an $800 million valuation, generating an annual revenue of $257 million, making them one of the richest clubs in the world.
The club popularly referred to as ‘Villa’ is based in Aston, Birmingham and was founded in 1874.
Their 42,657-capacity stadium, Villa Park has been their home since 1897 and cost £16,733 to build which is about $32.7 million in today’s currency adjusted for inflation.T
The club made €210.9m in revenue in 2022 according to the Deloitte Football Money League rankings which puts them in 21st place for 2023.
The club is currently owned by NSWE group, an Egyptian company owned by the Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris and American billionaire Wes Edens.
The £50 million signing of Amadou Onana from Everton in July 2024 is the most amount of money they have spent on one player.
The club managed by Unai Emery currently sits seventh on the Premier League table and are in contention to finish in European places which means they could have a new record signing in the summer.
7. West Ham United (Valuation) - $1.1 billion
Having been founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks, it was in 1900 that the club officially became known as West Ham United.
They are currently situated in Stratford, East London where they play their home games at the London Stadium.
They are currently valued at $1.1billion by Forbes, generating an annual revenue of $289 million, making West Ham number eight on our list of the richest clubs in England.
The Hammers raked in €301.2 million in 2022 according to Deloitte Football Money League making them one of the richest clubs in the world.
Club chairman David Sullivan controls the majority stake of the club although Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky acquired 27% of the shares of the club in November 2021 making him a minority owner of West Ham.
The London club are known to spend in the transfer window in recent years but their current record signing is midfielder Lucas Paqueta, who signed from Lyon for £51million in August 2022.
West Ham won their first-ever European title in 2023, defeating Fiorentina 2-1 to win the UEFA Europa Conference League.
6. Arsenal (Valuation) - $2.6 billion
Next on the list of richest clubs in England is Arsenal who are valued at $2.6 billion.
The Gunners made €433.5 million in revenue last year according to the Deloitte Football Money League.
The club is based in Islington, North London and play their home games at the 60,704-capacity Emirates Stadium which was opened in July 2006 and cost £390 million to construct.
Their record signing is Nicolas Pepe who joined the club for £72 million from Lille in 2019 but it id not work out and he has since been loaned out.
Arsenal are currently owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, an American company founded by Stan Kroenke who is the co-chairman of Arsenal along with his son, Josh.
Mikel Arteta’s team will be hoping on building on their second-place finish in this season’s Premier League, their best finish since the 2015/16 season when they also ended the season second behind Leicester City.
5. Chelsea (Valuation) - $3.13 billion
Chelsea made €568.3 million in revenue last year, the eighth-highest in the world and the fourth amongst English clubs.
This is particularly surprising because Chelsea spent a large portion of 2022 embroiled in uncertainty caused by former owner Roman Abramovich’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine tensions which eventually led to the sale of the club.
The club is owned by Blues Partners Limited, a consortium led by American businessman Todd Boehly who is the chairperson of the club.
However, the Blues are currently valued at $3.13 billion which makes Chelsea number five on the list of richest clubs in England.
The club was founded in 1905 and based in Fulham, West London where they play their home games at Stamford Bridge, a 40,343-capacity stadium.
Enzo Fernandez joined the club from Benfica in January 2023 for £106.8 million, making him the club-record signing.
4. Tottenham Hotspur (Valuation) - $3.2 billion
Tottenham comes in at number six on the list of richest clubs in England with a valuation of $3.2 billion as per Forbes, generating an annual revenue of $665 million.
The club was founded in 1882 and has played its home matches in the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since April 2019.
The state-of-the-art stadium was built between 2016 and 2019 and cost £1 billion to complete, making it one of the best sports stadiums in the whole world.
Spurs made a whopping €523 million in total revenue for 2022 and are valued highly due to their status as one of the traditional big six of English football.
The club is owned by ENIC International Ltd, an investment company established by the British billionaire Joe Lewis who bought majority shares at the club in 2001.
Lewis’ partner at ENIC, Daniel Levy has been the executive chairman of the club ever since and is the public face of the club’s ownership.
Tottenham’s record-signing Tanguy Ndombele joined the club from Lyon in 2019 for £62 million but the midfielder has failed to hit the expected heights so far.
3. Manchester City (Valuation) - $5.1 billion
The third richest club in England, with a massive $5.1 billion valuation is Manchester City.
The UAE-backed club are owned by City Football Group, a holding company that administers association football clubs, founded by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
Al Mubarak functions as the club chairman and has overseen Manchester City’s long stretch of success on and off the pitch over the last decade.
Deloitte Football Money League reports that Manchester City made €731 million in revenue last year, the most of any club in the world.
The club was originally founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton) and then became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 and it was not until 1894 when they became known as Manchester City.
The Cityzens really began to enjoy success in August 2008 when they were purchased by the Abu Dhabi United Group. Their strategy was to sign the best available big-name players.
Their current record signing is Jack Grealish for whom they paid £100 million to sign from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021.
Manchester City are undoubtedly the best team in England thanks largely to their manager Pep Guardiola who is on course to win them a third-consecutive Premier League title while also in the running for the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup to complete an unprecedented treble.
2. Liverpool (Valuation) - $5.37 billion
Liverpool are number four on the list of richest clubs in England according to Forbes' valuation of $5.37 billion.
The Reds made a whopping €707.7 million in revenue for 2022 according to the Deloitte Football Money League, behind only Real Madrid and Manchester City in the whole world.
Liverpool was founded in 1892 and have since played their home games at the 53,394-capacity Anfield Stadium situated in Merseyside.
The club is currently owned by Fenway Sports Group, an American, multinational sports conglomerate.
The 75 million signing of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton in January 2018 is Liverpool’s record signing.
Meanwhile, the club has braced itself for a new managerial era under Arne Slot, following the exit of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Manchester United are arguably the richest club in England and probably the world in general.
According to Forbes, the Premier League giants are currently valued at a whopping $6.55 billion, making them the no.1 richest club in England, and the second in the world - only behind Real Madrid.
The Red Devils also earned €688.6 million in revenue last year, the third-highest among English clubs and fourth in the world.
However, in 2024, United generates an annual revenue of $785 million.
They are undoubtedly the most successful English club in history with a record 20 League titles (13 Premier League titles), 12 FA Cups, six League Cups, and a record 21 FA Community Shields.
They have won the European Cup/UEFA Champions League three times, and the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup once each.
United are based in Manchester and play their home games at the 74,310-capacity stadium, Old Trafford which they moved into in 1910.Manchester United are a public company and on the New York Stock Exchange which means they are technically owned by the public but they have two chairmen in Joel and Avram Glazer, the majority shareholders.
The club is known for big spending in the transfer window but they are yet to surpass the £89.3 million paid to sign Paul Pogba in August 2016 which was a British-record transfer at the time and remains the club-record fee.
