The 2022-23 Premier League season looks set for a grandstand finish with the epic title race battle still ongoing between the defending champions Manchester City and London’s best club in this campaign, Arsenal.
However, a new study that recorded the latest available injury data has revealed some of the most unlucky teams in the English top flight this season.

A new study has revealed that Liverpool are statistically the ‘unluckiest’ team in the Premier League this season.
Research conducted by casino guide Casinoarabi.io analysed the latest available injury data to determine which clubs in the Premier League have unfortunately suffered the most injuries this season.
The 20 outfits were then ranked by the combined total number of games players have missed due to injury.

The study ranked the 20 clubs in England's top division by the combined total number of games players have missed due to injury in 2022/23.
'Big six' clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all ranked in the top six.
1. Liverpool

With a combined total of 151 games players missed, Liverpool are statistically the 'unluckiest' team in the Premier League this season.
Luis Diaz picked up an injury against title-challenging Arsenal in October, a setback that has led to him missing most of the season for the Merseyside Reds who currently continue to push for Top four.
2. Chelsea

West London’s Chelsea ranked in second (137).
Todd Boehly’s Blues have endured a torrid season by their standards having changed their manager thrice this season despite splashing out the cash on an array of talents in both the summer and winter transfer window.
However, their disappointing campaign has been impacted by their high injury count, including the fact that N’Golo Kante has had plenty of setbacks.
The Blues confirmed their safety from relegation following their 3-1 win against Bournemouth last weekend.
3. Manchester United

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United ranked in third (133).
The Red Devils have had to contend with plenty of injuries this season, with Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek missing more than 20 games.
Man United are currently slugging it out for Champions League spots alongside Newcastle and Liverpool.
4. Nottingham Forest

Relegation battling Nottingham Forest are also among the 'unluckiest' teams this season.
With a total of 115 games players have missed due to injury, the midlands-based outfit ranked in fourth.
5. Everton

Forest's relegation rivals Everton followed next (86).
Experienced goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and primary striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin have topped their injury charts as Sean Dyche’s men face a crucial stretch of matches in the final games of the season to avoid relegation.
6. Arsenal

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, who are still hopeful about lifting the Premier League title, ranked in sixth (81).
The Gunners have been without Mohamed Elneny for some time as a result of a knee injury.
However, the North London giants know they have to avoid dropping points if they are to end their 19-year wait for a Premier League title.
7. Fulham

Fulham ranked in seventh for the total combined number of games players have missed (76).
Attacking midfielder Neeskens Kabano has missed the most games for his club this campaign.
However, they have managed to impress many by positioning themselves in the top half of the table ahead of fellow Londoners Chelsea, West Ham and Crystal Palace.
8. Wolves

Wolves (76) are in eighth place and look set to avoid relegation, although this has been one of their most underwhelming seasons since their return in 2018.
9. Newcastle

Newcastle United (74) have the best defensive record so far in the Premier League campaign.
But that does not mean that Eddie Howe’s men have not come up short due to injuries.
The Magpies look well-positioned to play Champions League football next season should they fail to relent.
10. Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur (70) complete the top 10.
The North Londoners have had quite a dramatic second half of the season and seem to have blown away their Champions League hopes, having dropped crucial points for most part of the campaign.
