KCCA FC will start preseason on Sunday without the services of last season’s goalkeeper and skipper, Benjamin Ochan.
The custodian ran down his contract at the end of June and is one of several players departing the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, to try their talents elsewhere.
Having re-joined KCCA on a two-year contract in 2021, Ochan leaves the club after yet another failed shot at winning the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

The Uganda Cranes keeper is a free agent following his release from Ethiopian champions St. George.
Lukwago, who joined St. George in September 2021, struggled for form last season, featuring 17 times but managing only four clean sheets and conceding 14 goals in the process.

Four players got to nine by Friday evening, as thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC confirmed parting ways with stars, many of whom, were hugely experienced.
The goalkeeping spot at KCCA is still up for grabs following Ochan’s departure, with Derrick Ochan as the only established custodian remaining.
The exit door at the club is still crowded with several players out of contract, and new faces are expected to be announced soon.
