Ironically, Isabirye is the head coach at Express, and a reunion with Ndugwa is imminent.
Hugely-versed striker Karim Ndugwa is set to rejoin seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC.
Per Swift Sports, Ndugwa is in advanced talks with the Red Eagles for a return as he gets to secure his first Uganda Premier League action of the season.
The forward has been club-less since parting ways with six-time UPL champions Vipers SC towards the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
With the Venoms last season, Ndugwa won both the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup titles under former head coach Alex Isabirye.
The two had a year before clinched the 2021/22 Uganda Cup with BUL FC after beating Vipers 3-1 in the final.
Ironically, Isabirye is the head coach at Express, and a reunion with Ndugwa is imminent.
