According to This is Anfield, Liverpool's owners are keen to secure Slot's long-term future at the club and are prepared to offer him a significant pay rise.

The Dutchman’s current contract —  €8 million (£6.6m, around £127,000 per week), far behind Jurgen Klopp’s €18 million (£14.9m) — expires in 2027, but the club are hoping to tie him down to a new deal that will keep him at Anfield for many years to come.

Slot's achievements this season have been nothing short of remarkable, with the former Feyenoord boss transforming Liverpool into a dominant force in the Premier League and guiding them to the Champions League knockout stages and the Carabao Cup final.

The Dutchman's success has come despite not making any major signings in the summer transfer window.

Instead, he has relied on the existing squad and has developed a number of young players into key first-team members.
