Liverpool are reportedly initiating a deal for a Real Madrid youngster.

Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly sent an offer to Arda Guler in an attempt to convince him to leave Real Madrid only one season after joining.

Guler is a highly-rated Turkish midfielder whose signature was highly coveted by multiple top European clubs. However, Real Madrid beat competitors to the chase, landing the 19-year-old for a reported €20 million fee.

Despite the sizable fee with which he was acquired, the Turkey international was used sparingly by Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti last season.

An injury at the start of the season kept him out, and upon returning, squad dynamics meant he had to watch on from the sidelines.

Despite seeing game time towards the end of the season, a report from Spain, per Football 365, claims the player could force his way out, despite having a contract until 2029.

Liverpool's interest

The Reds were one of the suitors for Guler before Real Madrid snapped him up, and his performance for Turkey at the European Championship has gotten them interested again.

Per the aforementioned report, Guler’s camp believes the arrival of Kylian Mbappe will further impact the Turk's game time and would be open to a way out of the club.

However, Real Madrid's stance remain the same at the moment, Guler is not for sale, as they see him as a star for now and in the future.

Meanwhile, Guler’s exploits for Turkey at the European Championship improved his valuation by €15 million to €45 million as the Real Madrid youngster’s stature in football continues to grow exponentially.
