Wilfried Zaha has turned down multiple offers for a contract renewal from Crystal Palace with reports suggesting he is holding out for a move to a big team. Arsenal and Chelsea are touted as potential suitors.
Wilfried Zaha is currently running down his contract at Crystal Palace, with no indication that he will renew. Chelsea and Arsenal have emerged as possible destinations for the Ivorian, according to reports.
The 30-year-old winger is set for an exit from Selhurst Park after eight years since signing from Manchester United permanently in the winter of 2015, after initially spending six months on loan.
Zaha on his way out
Wilfried Zaha's current contract with Palace expires this summer, and the player has declined multiple offers from the Eagles to extend it. All signs point to Zaha's desire to leave Patrick Viera's squad in order to take on a new challenge with a bigger team that participates in more prestigious tournaments.
The French manager has publicly stated that he would like for Zaha to stay, and despite the good period he is having under Viera, with six goals and three assists this season in 20 games, Zaha's stance has not changed, and a new deal with Palace does not seem imminent.
Chelsea and Arsenal likely destinations
TalkSPORT reports that Chelsea, who have previously inquired about Zaha, and Arsenal, whose manager Mikel Arteta is a fan of the winger, are likely destinations for the former Manchester United man.
Zaha will be available for free, and according to Salary Sport, his current weekly pay is £130,000. A move for Zaha would prove financially sound for either side, however, Arsenal have recently signed Trossard in the position in addition to Martinelli, while Chelsea made a significant financial outlay on a left-winger in the winter market in Mudryk, and have a number of players in their squad capable of operating of the left side of attack
