The much-maligned midfield man’s future at Old Trafford has recently been thrown into doubt.
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly decided to remain at the club amid interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Casemiro’s Man Utd future
The 32-year-old played a crucial role in United's success in his debut season in Manchester, but his performances have declined since the 2023-24 campaign, leading to speculation about a potential move.
Despite Saudi Arabia being a likely destination, Casemiro remains at Old Trafford after the Saudi Pro League transfer window closed.
He has started all three Premier League matches for United this season alongside Kobbie Mainoo. However, his performance in the 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool last weekend was criticised, as he was at fault for both of Luis Diaz's goals.
Galatasaray’s Csemiro interest
While Premier League clubs can no longer sign players, several transfer windows across Europe remain open, including in Turkey.
Galatasaray have reportedly been in talks with United over a loan deal for Casemiro following his poor performance against Liverpool; however, according to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian is committed to his Old Trafford career and wishes to fight for his place.
The 32-year-old will reject any offers from the Turkish giants or other interested parties, even if they agree a deal with United, who remain open to letting him leave on their terms.
The midfielder’s £375,000 wages could hinder a move elsewhere, and Saudi clubs did not pursue a deal despite efforts from former director John Murtough.
