Sporting Lisbon are reportedly close to agreeing on a loan deal for Hector Bellerin, as replacement for Tottenham bound Pedro Porro.
Hector Bellerin is reportedly close to leaving Barcelona to join Sporting Lisbon on loan.
The 27-year-old Spaniard ended his contract with Arsenal to join Barcelona only six months ago; he is now set to leave Camp Nou for a move to Portugal.
Bellerin to Sporting Lisbon
The usually well-informed David Ornstein reports that Sporting Lisbon are close to agreeing a deal to sign Hector Bellerin on loan from Barcelona.
The former Arsenal player is no stranger to loan moves, as he spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Real Betis from Arsenal.
Barcelona, who are looking to create enough salary margin to register Gavi and Ronald Araujo in the first team, are reportedly open to the move.
Bellerin's transfer to open the door for another
Sporting Lisbon want to sign Hector Bellerin as a replacement for their own right-back Pedro Porro, who is close to a move to Arsenal’s North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese club reportedly had their eyes set on Brighton's Tariq Lamptey, but Brighton were uninterested in a loan deal for their 21-year-old.
With Sporting unable to afford a permanent deal for the Ghanaian, they set their sights on a new target in Hector Bellerin.
Bellerin's return to Barcelona, the club where he spent his formative years in football, has not gone well for him. Although he is the only natural right-back at the club, Bellerin has only featured in seven games for Barcelona, with only three coming in LaLiga.
