Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has made his desire to remain at the club and renew his contract for one more season. However, the decision for a new contract is only in the hands of president Florentino Perez.
Modric have been successful in Madrid’s colour
Modric joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 and has been in the club for over 10 years running with his name written in Madrid’s history books. The 37-year-old midfielder has had a successful career at the Bernabéu, having won three La Liga titles, five UEFA Champions League trophies and one Ballon d’ or award.

Modric’s contract at Real Madrid expires at the end of the season. The Croatian midfielder has been approached by Saudi Arabia clubs and he’s expected to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Modric wish to stay at Madrid
Luka Modric has made his intention clear that he is willing to stay at Real Madrid and he's expecting a new contract from the Madrid board. However, Modric in a press conference last week spoke about his intention of leaving Real Madrid, he said:
