Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that summer signing Rasmus Hojlund is set for his first game for Manchester United, with the Red Devils at Arsenal next.

Manchester United have received a positive update on new signing Rasmus Hojlund ahead of a trip to the Emirates this weekend. 

United manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that big-money striker Hojlund will be available to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old has not featured for the Red Devils since his celebrated move from Serie A side Atalanta. 

Hojlund put pen to paper on a five-year contract after he joined United for 72 million pounds.

However, the Denmark international is yet to make his debut for the Reds following back problems. 

Ahead of a trip to the capital to face 2022/2023 title contender Arsenal in the game of the weekend in the Premier League.

Ten Hag confirms Hojlund’s ready

According to a report on the club’s official website, the manager has now confirmed that the forward is ready to take to the pitch for United.

Per Ten Hag, Hojlund is in line to start against Mikel Arteta’s men having trained with his United teammates.

"Yes, he's had a good training week," said Erik. "Tomorrow we will have a final training session but he's doing well, he's responding well," said Erik.

"So, yeah, he'll be available for Sunday's game. I think he's ready to start.

Rasmus was unveiled at Old Trafford with thousands of United fans cheering him before the Red Devils’ penultimate pre-season match against Lique 1 side Lens.

The young forward is highly regarded by the Dutchman who is looking to build on the success of the club last season.
