This weekend features interesting games across LaLiga, the English Premier League, the Bundesliga, Serie A, and the NPFL.
Barcelona vs Real Madrid
The first installment of the famous El Clasico takes place at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. This will be the first meeting between both sides at Barca's temporary home while they carry out renovations at Camp Nou. Real Madrid are at the top of LaLiga, one point ahead of Barcelona in third place. However, while Los Blancos have lost a game this season, the Catalans are still unbeaten in the league. Barcelona won thrice while Real won the other two of their five meetings across three competitions last season.
Stuttgart vs. Hoffenheim
Two sides with solid starts to their season go head-to-head this weekend. Inspired by the goalscoring form of Serhou Guirassy, Stuttgart have made their best ever start to a Bundesliga season and are second with 21 points after eight games. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, are sixth on the table but are the only side yet to drop a point on the road in the Bundesliga this season. Both of their meetings last season ended in draws, with Stuttgart yet to win in their last three meetings.
Enyimba vs Remo Stars
One of the biggest clashes in the Nigerian Professional Football League this weekend will see defending league champions Enyimba host league leaders Remo Stars in Aba. The Ikenne-based club are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Enyimba, scoring at least a goal in each of these games. The former African champions won the abridged format of the league last season, led by ex-Super Eagles star Finidi George.
Manchester United vs. Manchester City
Manchester United came from behind to win 2-1 in this fixture last season and will be looking to win consecutive home games against their city rivals for the first time since a streak of home wins between 2008–09 and 2010–11. However, the Red Devils have not had a great start to the season as they continue to find their feet under Erik Ten-Hag. The Cityzens have won more Premier League away games against Manchester United (8) than any other side, with seven of those wins coming in their last 12 visits to Old Trafford.
Inter Milan vs AS Roma
Inter are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 meetings with Roma (5W, 6D) and have won four of the last five. Jose Mourinho will be looking to put an end to the dominance of his former side in this fixture. Roma have enjoyed their recent visits to San Siro, unbeaten in four of their last six away games against Inter (1W, 3D, 2L), while winning the most recent one. Inter are at the top of the Serie A table, while Roma are 7th.
