Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, is full of belief that his team can emerge as Premier League champions.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta remains hopeful over the prospect of his team emerging as Premier League champions ahead of the final matchday of the season.

Arteta and his boys are slugging it out with his former team, Manchester City, for the right to be tagged Premier League champions. With only two points separating both sides—City in the lead—and three points left to play for, Arsenal need to not only beat Everton at Emirates but also hope West Ham get a result off Manchester City.

What Arteta said

Despite City’s incredible form and the low probability of them dropping points at the Etihad on the final day of the season against the Hammers, Arteta remains hopeful and believes his fellow London club are capable of doing them a favour.

"I do believe," Arteta told BBC Sports. “We wanted to be in this position. We have earned the right to live a beautiful day in front of our people on Sunday, with the hope and big opportunity that we can lift the trophy at the end of the match.

"We have the possibility to live a beautiful day on Sunday where the dream is still alive and it's still possible. It's football; we have to live the moment.”

"We need to do our bit first, then hope West Ham and David [Moyes] are going to do us a big favour and help us fulfil our dream.”
