The Premier League is planning to uveil groundbreaking offside technology before the end of the season.
The Premier League has announced that semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) will be introduced in top-flight matches starting from Saturday, April 12, during Match Round 32.
This decision follows extensive non-live testing in the Premier League and live operation in the FA Cup earlier this season.
SAOT aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of offside decisions by automating key elements of the process, thereby supporting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
