Scouts from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle have been sent to watch this OGC Nice star with a view to making a summer move
OGC Nice star Jean Clair Todibo is believed to be a prime target for a number of Premier League clubs after several scouts were spotted watching the 23-year-old centre-back during a recent match.
Premier League teams send scouts to watch Todibo
Scouts from Liverpool, Newcastle, and Manchester United were spotted watching the former Barcelona defender when Nice played against Rennes in Ligue 1 Gameweek 34, with a view to making a summer transfer move for the in-demand Frenchman.
The French youth international gave scouts a good show with yet another impressive display at centre-back for Nice and would have a lasting impression on the scouts in attendance.
Todibo joined Nice from Barcelona in 2021, first on loan and then permanently, and has been a revelation in Ligue 1 since then.
Todibo attracting interest from all over Europe
Todibo has played in 42 matches for Nice this season, and is considered an integral part of the squad, missing only one game that he was available for.
The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best defensive prospects in the top five leagues, hence the interest from some of Europe’s biggest teams.
Despite a contract with four years left on it, Todibo could be available for a relatively cheap fee of €45 million, as Nice are open to selling the defender as soon as this summer in order to make a significant gain after signing him for €8.5 million from Barcelona.
His quality and the potential fee could be enough to see Todibo move this summer, and the three Premier League clubs who sent scouts to watch him will certainly not be the only clubs interested in signing him.
